Today, Sony announced that Cloud Streaming has officially arrived on PlayStation.
As of November 5, 2025, at 6 pm PT / November 6, Cloud Streaming was released for PS5 Games, launching on the PS Portal for PlayStation Plus Premium members, along with a variety of new features that enhance how you can play. The launch currently includes AAA titles, such as Astro Bot, Borderlands 4, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Fortnite, Ghost of Yōtei, Grand Theft Auto V, and Resident Evil 4.
You can see the full list of available games here.
Alongside the introduction of this new service, the home screen has also gotten a bit of a format refresh, now broken down into three tabs: Remote Play, Cloud Streaming, and Search.
- Remote Play home screen: Connect to a PS5 console paired with the PS Portal to enjoy games installed on that console. A PlayStation Plus membership is not required for Remote Play.
- Cloud Streaming home screen: A new dedicated home screen that allows PlayStation Plus Premium members to instantly stream a range of compatible PS5 games without waiting for downloads.
- Search screen: Quickly look up any game that supports Cloud Streaming. If you don’t have the entitlement to stream a game, a QR code will be displayed to direct you to the PlayStation App or to a web browser on another device.
The In-Game Store, Accessibility Options, and Game Intivations will now all have features that are relevant to the Cloud Streaming service. The update also includes new 3D Audio Support, Passcode Lock, and a Network Status Screen.
Sony originally tested with Cloud Streaming via a beta last year. This test allowed PlayStation Plus Premium members to access select PS5 games from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Classics Catalog, all without needing to connect to a PS5 console through Remote Play.
