Clean Start, a cozy cleaning and organization puzzle game from Amplified Games and Serious Sim, just got a release date. It will be available on November 5, 2026, and there’s a new demo to try it out early.
The game is more than just a tidying simulator: it draws inspiration from actual stories of migration, memory, and forming connections through an immigrant maid named Lena. While cleaning other people’s homes in a country whose language Lena doesn’t fully understand, players will unveil emotional stories and secrets through the objects they find. Each and every room cleaned has its own unique history and emotions.
One of the standout features of Clean Start is the environmental storytelling. While there is some dialogue among the characters, most of the game’s story is told through discovering objects as the player cleans up. The story must be pieced together, but it’s still a relaxing experience; there’s no time pressure or losing scenarios. Each client whose home is cleaned has history and heartfelt story to be learned.
In addition to the cleaning gameplay, there is also a feature in which players can create and decorate their own cozy apartment with items found and gifted while cleaning. This adds a personal touch for the player to create their own story within the game.
The latest demo for Clean Start features four rooms for players to try out. There is a new dusting mechanic and some quality-of-life improvements implemented since receiving community feedback during the previous playtest.

Clean Start will be available on PC via Steam.
