Sandfall Interactive released a free “Thank You” update for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 immediately following its Game of the Year 2025 Award, introducing a new environment, music, bosses, Photo Mode, quality-of-life improvements, and more.
The “Thank You” Update is exactly what it sounds like, adding free content and surprises for fans after the support and love the game received since its release earlier this year. The first of these is the new world, Verso’s Drafts.
In Verso’s Drafts, players will meet new Gestrals and more locations. However, not everything can be fun and whimsy, and there’s a dark force players will also have to deal with.
Additionally, more challenging bosses were added in the late-game Endless Tower. Taking these down gives players more Pictos, costumes, and gear. There are also more music tracks from the Lorien Testard, who also won an award at The Game Awards 2025 for Best Score and Music.
A Photo Mode was also added in the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 “Thank You” update. With this, players will be able to pause the story and battles to take pictures at any point.
There’s also now text and UI localizations in Czech, Ukrainian, Latin American Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian. FSR 4 support and AMD temporal upscaling for compatible GPUs.
Last but not least are the bug fixes and quality-of-life changes, which players can read up on here. Perhaps the biggest of these is the handheld PC improvements, which led to the game being certified on the Steam Deck and the ROG Xbox Ally.
