Earlier this month, Irregular Shapes announced that its city-builder, City Tales – Medieval Era, will officially release out of Early Access on January 29, 2025. Today, they updated fans on what they can expect from the title’s full release with a brand new roadmap.
So far, the developers have already completed a handful of content via their Hamlet and Advisor updates. Those changes include Territory Expansion, Economy Tier 5, Trade Systems, a new game mode, Bridges, an official demo, new music, Companion Prestige and plenty of small quality of life changes.
City Tales – Medieval Era still has plenty of in-progress content to finish before it launches next month, including Creative Mode, new Companion Quests, new Storyline Chapters, and the Wonders & Masterworks update.

Since its release earlier this year, the game has already added plenty of content for fans to experiment with. Alongside two unique game modes, players also have access to 50 buildings and 40 resources to create their settlements, marking the beginning of their journey as a medieval leader.
In-game companions also come with their own unique stories and skills. As you progress through the main narrative, you’ll also begin to forge bonds with them, unlocking each distinct trait and learning more about them as they help you shape the fate of your city.
City Tales – Medieval Era is currently available in Steam Early Access for $22.99. For more information on this simulator, and others like it, leading up to its full release, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily for updates.
