The China Region Pack for Cities: Skylines 2 has been released, and it’s full of new things for players to enjoy for free.
The pack includes 6 zones, 13 service buildings, 10 signature buildings, and 6 growable zones, which include the following:
- Low-Density Housing: modern and classical rural single-family homes
- Low-Density Courtyard Housing: traditional homes that were inspired by Beijing Siheyuan homes
- Low-Rent Housing: inspired by utilitarian housing blocks in urban areas of China
- Medium-Density Housing: inspired by 1990s urban apartments and contemporary mid-rise buildings
- High-Density Housing: 1980s/90s residential towers, high-rises, and penthouse apartments
- High-Density Offices: the first high-rise office zone, and it includes 1980s/90s towers, box-style buildings, and skyscrapers
There’s also a plethora of service and signature buildings that focus on areas of the community. For schools, there’s the Community Kindergarten, Ruby Rock Elementary School, High School, Community College (which is commonly called Junior College in China), and University.
In China, hospitals are commonly called People’s Hospital, which is included in the region pack. Additionally, several government buildings are included: a Local Police Station, Fire Rescue Brigade, Fire Station, Fire Department, City Library, District Hall, and City Hall.
Other buildings include the following:
- Book Shop
- City Shopping Mall
- United Mall
- Local Office Building
- Downtown Office Building
- Yin Yun Tower (a traditional Chinese tower)
- Western Observation Tower (a modern TV tower)
- Peony Tower (a skyscraper)
- Financial Center (a skyscraper)
- Skyline Palace (a super tall structure)

The China Region Pack is part of several free region packs that are coming and have come to the game since it was released. These come outside of the standard patches, too.
