Cities: Skylines 2 Breaks Down Its Bridges & Ports Expansion

Cities: Skylines 2 bridges & ports

Today, Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive released a breakdown of the bridges & ports expansion for its hit city-building simulator, Cities: Skylines 2.

Originally teased earlier this month with an official release date, Cities: Skylines 2 Bridges & Ports is set to add a slew of new features, including 20 new drawbridges and lift bridges, customizable ports, expanded maritime industries, 100+ new assets, and new achievements.

The expansion will also feature never-before-seen maps, like a peninsula, a bay, and vast great lakes. You can take a look for yourself at what it will look like in the highlights video below.

For those that may not have been following Cities: Skylines 2 since its release back in 2023, the game received significant backlashed for a rushed release. It was heavily criticized by media and fans alike, while the console release has been delayed indefinitely (but Colossal Order has been saying that it’s still coming).

Since then, the devs have been working hard to restore trust from the fans, and they have been at least successful in improving things considerably, thanks in part to several packs (France, Germany, the UK, Eastern Europe, Japan, Southwest USA, Northeast USA, and the Netherlands) that were released for free.

The Bridges & Ports expansion will launch on a PC (via Steam) on October 29, 2025, and requires the base game in order to play it. Cities: Skylines 2 is currently available on PS5, GeForce Now, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for a price point of $49.99.
