During the Q&A following the announcement of CD Projekt’s financial results, the developer’s executives shared some info on unannounced projects.
During the livestreamed presentation, we heard that the company has a number of unannounced projects in the works, but some are in a more advanced stage and are being capitalized.
Specifically, there are 4 such projects, out of which one is not a gaming project, and 3 are gaming projects.
Unsurprisingly, no further information has been provided.
Incidentally, we also heard about the PS5 Pro upgrade that was teased a few days ago. CD Projekt confirmed that it’s being developed partly in-house, in collaboration with an external partner.
Another interesting tidbit is about the meeting with the new Microsoft Gaming CEO, Asha Sharma, at GDC. While CD Projekt’s executives did not share many details, they mentioned that she is “a super-smart person” and the Xbox team has been very welcoming to her.
We also hear that she took the time to meet a lot of people from the industry at GDC, which is “always a good sign,” and the general concept that she has conveyed is that Microsoft wants to support the Xbox brand “a lot.” That was the main take from the meeting.
In other CD Projekt news, we heard earlier today that the company is investing heavily in The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2, while the new IP code-named “Project Hadar” has passed the IP concept phase and is now in the game-specific concept phase, with several prototypes being created and implemented in Unreal Engine 5 for testing.
