Garage Monkeys has launched Car Dealer Simulator, giving players an opportunity to establish and grow a used car empire with skills like negotiation, car detailing, and even mechanic work as they progress.
After two years of development, Car Dealer Simulator was officially released yesterday on May 29, 2025. However, fans have had access to the demo and prologue for about two months, and it’s garnered a Mostly Positive review rating on Steam from it
Car Dealer Simulator starts players off working in a rundown lot for Little Sam, who teaches players how to run the business. From there, players can work hard to make a name for themselves, eventually buying out the lot to run for themselves.
The goal? Buy cheap and sell high. That mindset fuels profits in the used car industry, and players will need to tap into their negotiation skills to do so. As the business grows, players will be able to modify cars in order to sell even higher.
For example, buying a non-operable car can be profitable — but how much more money can be made with a car that functions? Players will be able to do mechanical work (and bodywork) as they grow.
Of course, a sleek, clean vehicle sells better than a rundown, sun-faded vehicle. Eventually, players will be able to detail and wrap cars to increase their value.
Players will also be able to visit places around town, such as the gas station shop, junkyard, parts store, and even the bar.
Despite coming out yesterday, Garage Monkeys has been hard at work with hotfixes that patch things players are encountering.
