Saber Interactive and developer Stillalive Studios revealed a new gameplay trailer of the upcoming bus simulator Bus Bound.
We get to see the ability to play in co-op with three friends (up to four players total), the dynamic weather and time of day, and the realistic traffic system that we’ll have to contend with.
This includes the fact that the traffic will change depending on the weather and time of day, on top of random events like drivers driving erratically.
At launch, Bus Bound will feature 17 models of buses, including 10 licensed like the New Flyer Xcelsior 40ft CNG and the Blue Bird Sigma. This ranges from vintage to cutting-edge models.
You’ll also be able to customize your fleet of buses both visually and functionally, on top of designing your own routes with the dedicated route editor.
The city that serves as the setting includes seven diverse districts, as follows.
- Ashtree, the educational district
- The Strings, the music district
- Wright’s Crossing, the tourist district
- New Heights, the business district
- Belvedere, the cultural district
- The Tracks, the transit district
- Windfall Oaks, the suburban district
One of the most innovative features of Bus Bound is that your coverage and service of each district will actually help them evolve, including becoming more walkable, implementing bus lanes, and more.
Incidentally, if the name Stillalive Studios rings a bell, it’s the same developer behind Bus Simulator 21, Bus Simulator 18, and Bus Simulator 16.
Bus Bound doesn’t have a release date yet, but we already know that it’ll come for PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. A demo is already available.
