Today, YuzuGames released the prologue for their upcoming crafting and simulation title, Blacksmith Simulator, which is now available for free on Steam. The precursor gives players a glimpse into what they can expect from the game when it releases in full later this month, on January 21, 2025.
Players can experience the first two hours of Blacksmith Simulator, letting them get a feel for the gameplay and mechanics while throwing in a few questlines to tease the story. The plot takes place during the Middle Ages, tasking you with going from town to town to help out the locals with anything they may need that is related to a hammer and forge.
You can check out the mechanics and take a quick look at the gameplay via the announcement trailer down below:
The game will place a heavy emphasis on the core aspects of metalworking. You’ll do everything from heating, hammering, and tempering in order to complete questlines for everyone, from townsfolk to knights.
To keep your customers satisfied and your forge running, exploring the world for the materials that are needed to complete your task is vital. You’ll do this by exploring mines, gathering raw materials, and refining them into high quality products.
The better your products, the happier your customers will be. With each successful order, you’ll build renown that’ll help you earn money and fame, which you can in turn put to use upgrading your workshop and enhancing your forge, unlocking new crafting options and improving efficiency.
Blacksmith Simulator is set to be developer YuzuGames’ sixth release. Previously, they’ve released other simulation and crafting titles, including Handyman Corporation, Avalon, Server Owner Tycoon, Collapsed, and Spellers.
At the moment, not much is known about the post-launch support of Blacksmith Simulator. For more information on this and everything else sim-related, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily.
