Blacksmith: Ignite the Forge Release Date Announced

Today, indie developer Awaken Realms revealed that its upcoming simulator, Blacksmith: Ignite the Forge, would be heading to Steam on July 14, 2025, at 5 PM CEST.

Blacksmith: Ignite the Forge combines multiple genres, including simulation, strategy, and auto-battler. It tasks you with becoming a master smith by crafting various weapons and enhancing them with magical runes so that you’ll be able to equip a team of adventurers with your handmade tools, send them on missions, and gather loot to upgrade your forge.

The basis of the gameplay loop revolves around smithing itself, which lets you mine a variety of metals and smelt them to obtain alloys that grant special effects. You quite literally hammer them into shape on the anvil to create powerful weapons and enhance them with even more special affixes thanks to rune magic.

As you progress, you’ll be able to develop more innovative weapons to face the ever-growing challenges that appear each day. The better your smith becomes, the harder the fights and the better the rewards will be. You can learn more about the game in the trailer above or by viewing the previously released gameplay footage from October 2024.

Anyone who can’t wait till next week to get their hands on Blacksmith: Ignite the Forge can try the official Steam demo here.
