GameScience has announced that Black Myth: Wukong is headed to Xbox Series X|S on August 20, 2025, exactly one year after it was released on PlayStation 5 and PC.
Now, the Chinese ARPG is headed to Xbox, giving a new group of players a chance to experience the game, which saw 10 million sales in the first three days alone. Black Myth: Wukong also debuted with over 2.2 million concurrent players on just Steam, leading to a new concurrent player record on Steam less than a week later.
Digital pre-orders will be available starting on June 18. This also coincides with the first-ever sale on Black Myth: Wukong. The game will be 20% off across all platforms, including the pre-orders on Xbox Series X|S.
The sale and pre-orders go live at midnight UTC+8, though it may take a bit longer for some stores (Steam, Epic Games Store, and/or the PlayStation Store) to push out the sale. The sale will end on July 11, though pre-orders will still be available until Back Myth: Wukong is released on August 20.
More information on the various editions and options for purchasing Black Myth: Wukong on Xbox Series X|S will be revealed on June 18.
Black Myth: Wukong was a major name in the industry for 2024 — it won Game of the Year at the Golden Joystick Awards. It also won Best Action Game and Player’s Voice Award at The Game Awards 2024, where it was nominated for several awards, including Game of the Year.
