EA has revealed a new community update, talking about things that have been changed for Battlefield 6 after feedback from Battlefield Labs.

Battlefield Labs is a program from EA that lets select players try out Battlefield 6 ahead of the Early Access phase. This is meant to be a bridge the community and developers to improve Battlefield 6, especially given that EA has invested more in Battlefield 6 than any previous Battlefield title.

Some of the changes made for Open Beta (and some coming after the Open Beta period) are directly from Battlefield Labs. Battlefield Labs will be paused during the Open Beta, which starts for Early Access players on August 7, lasting a few weekends until August 17.

The changes that EA discussed specifically from Battlefield Labs feedback include the following:

EA also shared a video of a heat map overlay, showing how they monitored how players interacted with maps:

There are also quite a few changes coming to several classes, though these won’t be implemented until after the Open Beta. These are tentative changes as well, and future Battlefield Labs feedback will have an influence on how classes shape up before the game’s launch.

The changes that were already discussed include making Assault more of a team-player class, Engineer’s toolkit, buffs for Support, and more changes for stealth for Recon.

Fans can check out the exact details for each tentative change here in the latest community update.

The Open Beta weekends take place on August 9 to August 10 and August 14 to August 17. Early Access players get an extra few days, starting on August 7.

Battlefield 6 will be released on October 10, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
