Today, Larian Studios unveiled its final free update for Baldur’s Gate 3. The highly anticipated seventh update for this hit RPG features plenty of quality-of-life implementations, as well as some exciting new features and one that will have Dark Urge fans in a rather dark place.
First, evil players now have access to a slew of new endings. Whether you’re playing as the Durge or a custom character, there are a number of different ending cinematics that celebrate your bad deeds, and Larian is promising they are about as evil as you can get.
To emphasize this, they also revealed in the Steam post that there will be no new companions with Baldur’s Gate 3 patch 7. While a certain bard will be controllable during camp temporarily, she will not be able to join your party permanently, as many fans were speculating. “It would seem some of you didn’t pick up what we were putting down,” the post stated. “There are no new companions. There is only death.
A mod manager is also coming to Baldur’s Gate 3 with patch 7 and will be available later on in the day. Mods that are created and uploaded via the game’sToolkit can be browsed and installed directly from the game itself, and can be enabled or disabled in the Installed tab.
Other small but noticeable changes are coming to Baldur’s Gate 3’s honor mode, UI, writing, dialogue flow, scripting, and gameplay, so be sure to check out the full post on the Steam page listed above.
