Attack on Titan 3 lets players create their own Scout Regiment member, living out the events of the final Titan battles with the original Attack on Titan cast.

Players will fight Titans alongside their squad, and each member is equipped with their own special abilities. They’ll also have the iconic mobility gear, which adds another layer to combat and strategy when fighting massive Titans.

The Titans themselves will be more dangerous than in the previous games, with new attacks and behaviors. While the standard combat is harder than before, there is a new Casual Mode for players who want to focus more on the story than fighting.

Besides combat, players will also need to do Exterior Scouting Missions. During these, they’ll explore the world outside the walls, fighting Titans as they come across them and expanding the areas that humanity has control over.

This also includes a resource management feature, where players will need to expand enough and ensure they have enough to continue fighting. They’ll also need to balance squad morale while doing these dangerous missions — exploring outside the walls could lead to injuries and/or death for squadmates, but resources are vital to continue fighting. Players will have to choose between what’s best overall for their squadmates and their survival.

Additionally, Koei Tecmo and Omega Force revealed that the opening animation for Attack on Titan 3 will be animated by Mappa, the same animation studio that animated Attack on Titan: The Final Season. Arifumi Imai (action scene animator, storyboard artist, and key animator) will be returning to direct the opening animation.

Attack on Titan 3 is set to release in Winter 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
