Koei Tecmo and Gust have announced the release date for Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian, the upcoming Atelier game that was announced last year.
Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian is set in the same universe as Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator. Players will head to Lantarna, where they’ll experience the same gameplay loops expected of an Atelier title, like looting, combat, exploration, and more.
Players will follow two new protagonists: Rias Eidreise, an adventurer who happens to be great at alchemy, and Slade Clauslyter, who can open portals to other dimensions. Other familiar Atelier characters will make an appearance, including Sophie Nuenmuller, Razeluxe Meitzen, Totori Helmold, and Wilbell Voll-Ersleid.
Like most of the other Atelier games, the upcoming Atelier Resleriana will feature turn-based combat. Teams will consist of three characters in the front line and three characters in the back line. Combat will also include multi-level dungeons, called Dimensional Paths.
The alchemy system will include a process called Gift Color Synthesis. Players will link items to different Gift Colors, which they can use to create new items. This will affect the traits and recipes of the recipe.
Additionally, other characters can help Rias and improve the item’s strength.
A new system is also being introduced in Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian. Players will be able to run a shop in town, which will also help the town grow. This will be crucial to progressing the main story and learning new recipes.

Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian is set to be released on September 26, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. Japan will also see the game hit PlayStation 4, though it won’t release in any other region on the console.
Those who purchase the upcoming Atelier Resleriana game (whether physically or digitally) before October 10 will get an Activewear Adventuring Set for Rias and Slade, as well as an Adventuring Charm Set.
