Supernova Games Studios and 505 Games, along with a technical partnership with Kunos Simulazioni, have announced Assetto Corsa Rally, a new rally racing game.
Assetto Corsa Rally is taking the realistic driving physics that the Assetto Corsa games are known for and bringing them to rally racing. Rally racing is a demanding sport, and the upcoming game will test players’ composure, reflexes, speed, and strategy.
The game will feature an offline game mode to start, though an online multiplayer will be added through the Early Access phase. Of course, even in multiplayer, racing and true-to-life simulation mechanics will be front and center. Some of these mechanics are as follows:
- Jumps/Uneven surfaces
- Slippery roads
- Dynamic weather
Races will include a variety of changing factors, such as temperature, humidity, surface types, and water levels. These will affect how cars handle, and players will need to adapt as they race to take the top positions.
The stages have been laser scanned, which means they’re as close to realistic as possible. There are over 33km between 4 special stages with 18 variants in Wales and Alsace. The audio design is also a big factor in how authentic the sim will feel.
Other features in Assetto Corsa Rally on Early Access launch include ten rally cars, including Group B, WRC, and Rally2, five game modes, and even triple-screen support.
Throughout Early Access, the game is hoping to include over 120km of ratty stages, 10 special stages with 35 variants (set around 5 international rallies), over 30 cars to choose from, and new game modes (like a rally school, career mode, and even VR support).
Assetto Corsa Rally is set to release in Early Access on PC on November 13, 2025. The upcoming rally sim will be featured at Dortmund’s SimRacing Expo this weekend, from October 17 to October 19.
Mauro Notarberardino, Supernova Studio Director, shared the reason for creating Assetto Corsa Rally:
“Feeling the lack of a modern rally simulator, we’ve built a team and developed a technology to create one ourselves, with the support of drivers, engineers, collectors, mechanics, and industry experts.
A special thanks goes to Kunos Simulazioni, whose partnership was crucial in maintaining the signature feel of the series – especially in terms of the driving model – in this new chapter. Today marks an exciting new beginning for Supernova and Assetto Corsa Rally, and we can’t wait to share the journey with you.”
Marco Massarutto, Co-Founder of Kunos Simulazioni, also shared thoughts about the upcoming game:
“A rally version of Assetto Corsa, when?! It has been one of the most frequent questions I’ve received over these years…and I can finally provide an answer.”
