The May and June updates will be completely free, and most of the roadmap content will also be free.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is getting the first of these in early May. This will include the first story drop with the new quest “The Works of Luis Frois.” This update will also include a codex update and quality-of-life changes.

There will also be another update in late May, which will include the first special collaboration. This will also include more parkour features, such as back and side ejects that give players quite a bit of height along with a vertical edge jump. It will also include an update to the game’s photo mode, including new filters, stickers, poses, and more.

June will see the second story drop with the new quest “New Ally for Your League.” There will also be new difficulty settings, an open world alarm system, gameplay immersion options, and an option for headgear in cutscenes.

The rest of the free content for the year-long roadmap includes the following:

  • New Game+
  • Updates based on community feedback
  • More Story Drops
  • More Special Collaborations
  • Codex Updates
  • Animus Content
  • More Rewards

There will also be paid content, including store drops and the Claws of Awaji Expansion.

The Claws of Awaji Expansion will be free for everyone who pre-ordered the game. It will explore the brand-new island of Awaji and continue the story of Naoe and Yasuke. There will be new enemies, new abilities, and a new weapon for Naoe, the Bo staff.

The new free story drops will include new quests with new abilities, allies, and world activities. It will also explore the lore and the past of some of the characters.

The community feedback updates will be focused on what the community wants. This has already been brought to the game in the past, which players can find out more about here.

Ubisoft is planning to drop the free content regularly so players always have something to look forward to. Players can read the full notes here for more information on everything in the roadmap.
