Gryphline has revealed that Arknights: Endfield is getting an update tomorrow, and it’s bringing players a free 6-star Operator, several quality-of-life changes to make the early- and mid-game feel more fluid, and more information on plans to continue optimizing the player experience in the near future.
To kick things off, players who have completed Chapter 1 Process 1: Break the Siege (the first questline in the game) will receive one Designation Selection Permit. This gives players the choice to obtain any of the Operators from the Basic Headhunting banner to obtain, which includes Ember, Last Rite, Lifeng, Pogranichnik, and Ardelia.
The Designation Selection Permit will be sent through the in-game mail after the update on February 5, 2026.

Several quality-of-life changes are also being made with that same update, giving players a smoother experience as they progress in the game. These changes have been made based on the feedback from players, and they touch on several areas around the game.
The changes are as follows:
- Lowered enemy stats across various Exploration Levels:
- Exploration Level 6: Enemy level reduced to 55 (instead of 60), but they drop the same loot as before
- Exploration Level 7: Enemy level reduced to 60 (instead of 70), but they drop the same loot as before
- New Authority Level rewards:
- Authority Levels 16, 17, and 18: players will receive Ferrium Components (to help craft Blue Quality Gear)
- Authority Levels 28, 29, and 30: players will receive Cryston Components (to help craft Purple Quality Gear)
- Ability to switch all selected facilities on/off in top view mode at the AIC
- Enemies have been moved around the map to make clearer areas near hot spots like rare material gathering spots, mining spots, and TP points
- Adjusted difficulty designs for several Percussive Devices
All of the above changes will go into effect after the update on February 5, 2026. This update is scheduled to take 10 minutes, and it’ll start at 8:00 am (UTC+8).
Gryphline also shared several plans for the near future, most of which are planned to be released in the next two updates. These include everything from more headhunting resources (the gacha/pull/wish system) to better combat logic.
These changes include the following, though a full list of all the planned updates can be viewed here:
- More early-game headhunting materials
- Optimizing tasks in the Operational Manual
- More sources of AIC Quota
- Better Quick Stash logic
- Adding a mini-map when using ziplines
- AIC facility construction available outside of Core AIC Area
- Improve mission clarity and navigation
- Mission tips for unlocking new areas
- Quick-claim feature for cabin products
- Remote quick-claim for Recycling Stations (after meeting certain criteria)
With all of the news, Gryphline also shared some fun facts. As of February 1, 2026, players had laid down a cumulative 42,195,240,313 meters of power transmission lines. Together, they’ve also repaired 23,271,228 shared facilities (with the Easy Stash facility in The Hub of Vallery IV being the most popular with 4,342,952 repairs).
