Today, Gryphline announced that Arknights: Endfield will launch on Steam on October 15, 2026, alongside its next free content update, Sanctuary of Ink.
Arknights: Endfield originally launched on January 22, 2026, expanding the Arknights series beyond mobile with a 3D real-time strategy RPG focused on exploration, real-time combat, and base-building. The free-to-play title supports cross-platform progression, allowing existing players to continue their adventures on Talos-II when the Steam version launches.
The Sanctuary of Ink update introduces a new chapter set within Si’s Painting, taking players into a mysterious painted world while expanding the story with new characters, combat challenges, and activities. The story centers on Si, a Feranmut Proxy who welcomes the injured Endministrator to Yuanyuan Manor Inn to recover.
Si’s home exists within a landscape painting of her own creation, and strange phenomena in the surrounding mountains draw the pair into a new chapter of the main story, exploring a connection stretching back a decade. Players will travel through the painted landscape with Si’s Miracle Brush serving as a key tool for exploration, allowing them to create bridges across gaps and alter the environment.
The world is inhabited by creatures formed from objects within the painting, though not all of them are welcoming, with another trial waiting for players at the end of their journey.
The latest Arknights: Endfield update also introduces two playable Operators, Si and Argent Flow. Si can draw an Inksoul from an enemy, transferring damage and effects dealt to it back to the original target, while her abilities can also strengthen Cryo and Heat teammates. Argent Flow fights with both sword and spear while riding his warhorse, Nuli, and his ultimate sees him charge into battle before launching into the air for a powerful finishing attack.
Contingency Contract also returns through Indigo Experimental Operation, adding selectable modifiers that combine powerful advantages with tactical restrictions. Some modifiers can now give enemies additional attack patterns, introducing new threats that require players to adjust their strategies, while player-feedback improvements make challenge settings easier to select and reuse.
Outside of combat, Yuanyuan’s Blazing Stoves lets players run a countryside inn by growing crops, raising animals,, and preparing dishes for visiting guests. Players can invest earnings in expanding the farm and inn. At the same time, different operating themes unlock additional recipes, and the Auto-Farmer helps with sowing and harvesting as players progress through the story.
Arknights: Endfield Sanctuary of Ink also brings a new musical direction inspired by its Eastern fantasy setting, combining color bass, afrobeat and UK garage with contributions from Black Myth: Wukong composer Zhai Jinyan, Death Stranding composer Ludvig Forssell, Chinese electronic band 8:48 and returning musician Crywolf. Player-experience improvements include saved equipment loadouts, more precise mouse targeting, adjustable priority for simultaneously triggered combo skills, and the ability to place field equipment using facilities or construction materials stored in the depot.
