Today, Respawn Entertainment unveiled an official trailer for their brand new update coming to their popular free-to-play battle royale-hero shooter, Apex Legends. Titled Shockwave, the free update is set to add a brand new map and an additional weapon meta, among other interesting bits of new content and goodies.

- Free Revivals – Stay in the games with Unlimited Revivals until the end of Round 4. As long as one squadmate is alive, players and their squad will always be recharged with revivals.
- New Map: E-District – Raising the voltage brings E-District, the newest close-quarters map built for verticality and instant, continuous action. A neon playground where anything can happen.
- Battle Sense – Players will feel their power surge with visible Enemy Health Bars and Highlights – just don’t lose line of sight.
- Straight Shot Revival & Bot Royale – Dropping hot with some updates – players will always have another straight shot starting early on in Shockwave. Additionally, the new Bot Royale mode will be available starting August 6 and lets players get real combat experience while sending bots to the scrapyard either solo or with a premade squad.
- New Weapon Meta: Akimbo – With both guns blazing, players can dual-wield P2020s and Mozambiques to galvanize the battlefield and automatically double up on firepower.
Apex Legends: Shockwave is available on August 6 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the EA App, Epic Game Store and Steam. For more gaming and simulation news, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily for constant updates.
