Shuisha Games has revealed the release date for Anthem#9, its turn-based, gem-matching roguelite puzzle game, is February 5, 2026.
Anthem#9 centers around gem-matching gameplay. Players have certain combos that they’re trying to hit by matching gems together. These combos are affected by the speed at which players can set them up, as well as the cards in players’ decks.
Deck building is at the heart of the cards (or gems). The cards in the player’s deck decide what pattern gems need to be matched in, as well as the combos that come with it. The cards themselves can also be leveled up to get better combos.
All of these combos dish out damage to opponents as players go through the story as an agent of Anthem#9, an international secret organization that’s set on maintaining global peace and stability.
There are three characters who are part of Anthem#9. Each of them offer their own strengths and weaknesses in gem matching.
First is Rubit, the main character. Her kit revolves around daggers and poison, and she can change the colors of her gems.
Next is Phannie, a gambler with a flashy kit. He can split gems, which means he has more gems to work with and create combos with. Overall, that means more combos and more damage dealt, though it does come with risks if he can’t make his combos work.
Last but not least is Beni, a martial artist who can use gems for shields, healing, buffs, and more. This versatile playstyle means she can hit hard or cover herself if the situation calls for it.
Anthem#9 is set to release on PC via Steam, and there’s already a demo for players to try the action for themselves. Along with the news of the release date is the news of a hardcore end-game mode, promising gem-matching fun in progressively difficult rounds.
