SCS Software released a new gallery of screenshots of its popular sim American Truck Simulator, focusing on the upcoming Iowa DLC.
We learn that the developers have created over 15 towns for the DLC, and today we get to see some of them. Each has its own landmarks and unique charm.
We get to see Algona, Auburn, Dyersville, Postville, Traer, Sheldon, Wapello, and Laurel.
The geographically-minded among you may see that there’s an impostor among them, as Laurel is actually not in Iowa, but it’s across the border in Nebraska. The developers decided to include it because of its location along the US-20 towards Iowa.
You can check out all the screenshots below.

American Truck Simulator is available exclusively for PC and it’s the sister game to Euro Truck Simulator 2. The beta for version 1.54 has recently been released with new features and perks.
Recently we have seen a lot of the Missouri DLC, which is likely to be the next in line for release (while it doesn’t have an official release date just yet). You can check out its lakes and rivers, Maryville, its junctions and intersections, Cape Girardeau, the iconic underground warehouses, the custom depots, more custom depots, Kansas City, St. Louis, new Industries, and plenty of gameplay.
The sim also recently received the Arkansas DLC while Louisiana (alongside its truck stops) and Illinois have recently been announced.
As for Iowa, we have seen its fields and its truck stops. Like all the DLC mentioned here, it doesn’t yet have a release date. SCS Software usually doesn’t announce a release date until it’s very close.
A few weeks ago, we saw an extensive livestream in which the developers provided a lot of info and even images of more content coming down the line, including new trucks.
