Today SCS Software provided another look at the upcoming DLC coming to American Truck Simulator, featuring the State of Missouri.
Specifically, today’s reveal is all about one of the cities that will be included in the map expansion, Maryville.
We take a look at the landmarks that have been created to achieve a detailed reproduction of the city, including the local church, the Nodaway County Courthouse and its clock tower, the local firehouse, and the Maryville Treatment Center.
In terms of gameplay, the city will feature plenty of industries that can provide hauling jobs. Downtown you’ll find warehouses, construction sites and even a car parts factory. On the outskirts, you’ll encounter farms with livestock and a wind power plant.
There’s also a truck stop for weary travelers.
American Truck Simulator is available exclusively for PC. It was recently updated to version 1.51 with the addition of quite a few features.
The sim also just received the Arkansas DLC alongside the much-awaited Mack Pinnacle truck, while the Lousiana has just been announced and should follow Missouri, which doesn’t have a release date yet.
It’s the twin game to SCS Software’s Euro Truck Simulator 2, which uses the same engine and follows the same development track but is obviously set in Europe.
Incidentally, both simulators will receive a driving academy feature in version 1.52.
A few weeks ago the games were in attendance at IAA Transportation 2024 in Hannover, once more showcasing the inevitable ties between simulation and real-world transportation and logistics.
