SCS Software showcased today more assets and details of the upcoming Iowa DLC coming for American Truck Simulator.
Specifically, we get to see more of the road network built to represent the Hawkeye State, including the weigh stations to make sure that cargo weight is within legal limits to avoid damaging the roads. The DLC includes both large and small ones.
We also get to see a rest stop and the Paley’s Odyssey intersections featuring four individual 61-foot sculptures, constructed from bronze, Cor-Ten steel, and stainless steel.
More screenshots show construction sites and bridges, including Blue Mormon Bridge on the Missouri River and the Arsenal Bridge on the Mississippi.

American Truck Simulator is available exclusively for PC, and it’s the sister game to Euro Truck Simulator 2. Update 1.54 has recently been released with new features and improvements.
If you’d like to see more of Iowa, you can check out its truck stops, its towns, road network, and more settlements. At the moment, a release date has not been announced for this DLC. SCS usually doesn’t announce dates until the release is very close.
SCS Software also recently announced Louisiana (alongside its truck stops and welcome centers) and Illinois.
Perhaps the most interesting recent announcement is the Road Trip mode, which will let you drive pickup trucks and other vehicles in the same world that has been reserved for cargo transport until now, including new reasons to drive and explore.
Last, but not least, just yesterday we saw the free addition of the Kenworth W900 Legacy Edition.
