SCS Software announced the release date of the upcoming DLC for American Truck Simulator, featuring the state of Iowa.
The DLC will be released on July 10, 2025, and it’s already listed on Steam for your wishlisting pleasure.
Pricing has not been revealed yet, but pretty much all the state DLCs cost $11.99, so this should be priced the same way.
Here’s a list of features that you can expect from the DLC when it launches in two weeks.
- Truck through 12 cities including Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, Burlington, Iowa City, and more!

- Become a vital part in transporting farm produce from the Hawkeye State all over the USA.
- Explore 18 scenic towns (settlements) on your travels such as Spencer, Clear Lake, Dyersville, Oskaloosa, or Traer!
- Admire the state’s stunning expansive hills with terraced fields and picturesque farms.
- Keep goods flowing in and out of Iowa’s huge ethanol plant depots, supporting its lead in U.S. ethanol production.

We also recently saw plenty of gameplay showing a route from a feedmill depot near Waterloo to an agricultural facility close to Iowa City.
American Truck Simulator is available exclusively for PC, and it’s the sister game to Euro Truck Simulator 2. Update 1.55 has just entered its beta testing phase.
SCS Software also recently revealed Illinois, of which you can see the truck stops, the city of Marion, and Rockford. Another DLC that we know is coming is Louisiana, and we saw its truck stops, welcome centers, buildings, and some cities.
The latest DLC announced by the developer is South Dakota, while a rework has been revealed for the areas around the famous Route 66.
Perhaps the most interesting recent announcement is the Road Trip mode, which will let you drive pickup trucks and other vehicles in the same world that has been reserved for cargo transport until now, including new reasons to drive and explore.
