Today, American Truck Simulator developer SCS Software provided a new look at the latest DLC expansion announced for the game, Illinois.
This is only the second time that we get to see the Prairie State, and this reveal focuses on the essential truck stops.
We get to see three truck stops located close to the city of Bloomington, and each is inspired by one in the real world.
The first is on the I-55 and includes a large gas station, parking for both trucks and personal vehicles, and even a small dog park.
The second is smaller, located on the US-150. It includes a supermarket and a restaurant. The third is north of Bloomington near the city of Peoria, with a large truck parking area.
Another truck stop showcased today is on I-39 near Rockford, with plenty of parking space to get your well-deserved nap.
In the south of the state, there is another truck stop near Rend Lake on the Dwight D. Eisenhower Highway and one more near Effingham.
You can check them all out in the images below.
American Truck Simulator is available exclusively for PC, and it’s the sister game to Euro Truck Simulator 2. Update 1.54 has recently been released with new features and improvements.
At the moment, we don’t know when Illinois will be released. It’s very likely that the next DLC will be Iowa, of which you can check out the truck stops, the towns, the road network, more settlements, and the bridges.
SCS Software also recently revealed Louisiana (alongside its truck stops and welcome centers.
Perhaps the most interesting recent announcement is the Road Trip mode, which will let you drive pickup trucks and other vehicles in the same world that has been reserved for cargo transport until now, including new reasons to drive and explore.
Last, but not least, just yesterday we saw the free addition of the Kenworth W900 Legacy Edition.
