SCS Software has released new screenshots of one of the upcoming DLCs for American Truck Simulator, Illinois.

Specifically, we get to see a variety of vistas if the  Prairie State, which includes quite the variety of landscapes, “from bustling urban centers and iconic skylines to the quiet charm of small towns and the open countryside.”

This time around, we don’t get clear details of where the screenshots were taken exactly. As a matter of fact, the developers have challenged fans to find out on their own. I’ve never been to Illinois, so I’ll let you take a stab at it and bow out.

That being said, you can check out the screenshots in the gallery below.

American Truck Simulator is available exclusively for PC, and it’s the sister game to Euro Truck Simulator 2. It has recently been updated to patch 1.55.

We don’t know when the Illinois DLC will be released, as SCS likes to announce dates only close to launch, but you can also see its truck stops, the city of Marion, Rockford, and Quincy.

A Louisiana DLC is also coming, and you can check out its truck stops, welcome centers, buildings, some cities, more settlements, and its forests and wetlands.

The latest DLC announced by the developer is South Dakota, while a rework has been revealed for the areas around the famous Route 66.

Perhaps the most interesting recent announcement is the Road Trip mode, which will let you drive pickup trucks and other vehicles in the same world that has been reserved for cargo transport until now, including new reasons to drive and explore.
