Gaijin Entertainment has released Aces of Thunder, the combat flight simulator, on PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation VR2, letting players hop into the action on a flat screen or VR system.

Players can either purchase the Standard Edition of Aces of Thunder or the Deluxe Edition. The Standard Edition includes the base game, while the Deluxe Edition includes five additional machines: the F4U-4, Spitfire Mk la, Hurricane MK IV, SBD-3, and P-40E-1. Players who purchase the Standard Edition can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition afterward to get access to these machines, too.

A launch trailer was released alongside the game, showcasing some of the beautiful visuals and features in Aces of Thunder. Fans can watch it below:

Aces of Thunder is a combat flight simulator that takes players to the World Wars, bringing in aircraft from both wars that players can fly and dogfight in. There are 15 different maps across the various theaters of war, spanning from Eastern Europe to the Pacific.

Players can either run the War Tales in the campaign, train their skills in various single-player missions, or experience combat in online duels with players from around the world. The battles all feature cockpit views, and players can use a variety of input methods, including HOTAS.

Gaijin Entertainment has been hard at work making sure that Aces of Thunder lives up to players’ expectations, even getting patches in pre-release that significantly improved the simulator.

Since the game’s release earlier today, Gaijin has issued a statement letting players know that it’s listening to feedback and that improvements are on the way for a variety of issues. Some of these reports include control issues, the VR experience, TrackIR support, and some stability problems.

Aces of Thunder is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation VR2. Players can get it for 10% off right now for the launch sale.
