Today, Riot Games accidentally released the console release trailer for its hit fighting game, 2XKO, on YouTube, which they quickly made private.
Before it was made private, BlueSky user Nabil Mehari managed to capture not only the release date of January 20, 2025, but also the full trailer. The video is pretty straightforward, showing gameplay that fans have seen on PC, now running smoothly on Xbox Series X|S and PS5.
Take a look for yourself below:
Just like the PC version of the game, 2XKO will be free-to-play. For those who haven’t heard of the title, it is a tag-team fighting game based on the universe of League of Legends IP by Riot Games. It places a heavy empahsis on teamwork and strategy allowing players to switch between their Point (primary) and Assist (secondary) characters using a tag system, moving each character using standard directional inputs, while also throwing in unqiue combos and abilities for each.
While it’s free-to-play, there are several starter editions and “Mega Bundles” that go on sale tomorrow, including skins and other incentives, if you already feel like investing in the game. 2XKO currently features 13 playable characters, though additional fighters are still being released as a part of the post-launch content.
