Invincible VS will soon translate the world and characters of the popular TV show into a fighting game, and Simulation Daily discussed it with Executive Producer Mike Willette.

The interview was recorded at Gamescom 2025, where we were also able to try the game and explore its impressive technical depth, only slightly hidden behind a solid autocombo system, to welcome fans of the franchise who may not be familiar with fighting games.

Willette had plenty of interesting details to share, including the origins of the game and the steps taken to make sure that it was authentic to the source materials.

We also hear plenty about the gameplay, including the balance between this promising fighting game’s technical depth and accessibility,

If you’re curious about the challenge of translating a 2D animated show into a 3D video game, Willette discussed that as well.

Without further ado, you can enjoy the full interview below.

If you’re unfamiliar with Invincible VS, it was revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase in June.

It’s coming in 2026 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. A precise release date has not been announced just yet.

At the moment, 8 familiar playable characters have been announced, including Invincible, Atom Eve, Omni-Man, Battle Beast, Bulletproof, Lucan, Rex Splode, and Thula.

Of course, it’s very likely that more will be announced between here and launch, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
