Unfrozen is bringing back the beloved Heroes of Might and Magic franchise under Ubisoft’s wide umbrella, with Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era.
Of course, while having access to such a storied and beloved franchise is great, it also comes with the pressure of pleasing an established and passionate community.
The new game is a prequel to the first three titles of the franchise, but set in a continent that appeared only in the legendary Might and Magic RPG series. It features three new factions (one of which has been revealed just today) and three classic ones.
To see how Unfrozen is taking on this challenge, Simulation Daily interviewed at Gamescom 2025 in Germany Narrative Lead and Localization Manager Katharina Viveros Shevchuk and Community Manager and Junior Marketing Manager Alexandru “Kyraha,” whom, incidentally, you may be familiar with as a prominent HOMM3 streamer and competitive player.
They shared a lot of interesting details about what we can expect from this new chapter of the old and beloved franchise.
Without further ado, we leave you with the interview, which you can find in the video below.
As usual, leaving a like and a comment, and subscribing to our growing YouTube channel is extremely helpful.
Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is coming this year in early access on PC.
