Atari Interview – Classic IPs, the Love For Physical Games, and Bubsy 4D

Atari is at the forefront of bringing back classic and beloved IPs, on top of the preservation of physical media for video games.

Not only does the storied publisher launch many of its own games on physical discs, but nowadays, it also works with other developers to spread the physical media love to additional titles.

Of course, this comes on top of releasing retro consoles, some of which even work with cartridges.

To know more about this noble work, Simulation Daily interviewed Atari Senior Director of Sales and Marketing David Lowey at Gamescom 2025.

We also hear about Bubsy 4D, the brand new game portraying the wacky bobcat, which was revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live’s preshow and certainly looks promising.
