When we published our Airbus A321 flight on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 for PS5, many of you asked how to use SimBrief on Sony’s console.
Since the procedure can be a bit obscure, we decided to post a full video guide that walks you step by step from creating a free account to importing your flight plan on the supported aircraft while you start them up for your flight.
We’re focusing on PS5 because it’s the platform where most newcomers need guidance right now, but the procedures shown here also work exactly the same way on Xbox and on PC, although PC users have more options to use SimBrief with more aircraft.
While Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has its own flight planning utility, Simbrief offers more options and more flexibility, so it’s advisable to be familiar with both.
Without further ado, you can check out the video below. Of course, we’d appreciate it if you could like it and subscribe to our growing YouTube channel, as that’s always extremely helpful and appreciated. If you are left with any doubts or questions, don’t hesitate to ask in the video’s comment section. We’ll answer as soon as we can.
Here are a couple of links you’ll need to follow the guide’s instructions.
With the PS5 version officially releasing tomorrow, we have already tested it rather thoroughly (you can check out our first flight over Tokyo and Chiba and a daring trench run in the Grand Canyon on an A-10 attack jet).
It’s worth mentioning that a pre-release copy of the simulator was provided to Simulation Daily by Xbox for the purpose of our coverage.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is currently available for PC and Xbox Series X|S. It’ll be released for PS5 on December 8, 2025, although an early access period is ongoing for those who pre-ordered the special editions.
