The first 2025 Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Kickoffs are over in the Americas, EMEA, and Pacific, giving fans the first three winners of the year.
The three tournaments ended over this past weekend. On February 8, VCT Americas (which recently partnered with Samsung SSD) ended with a best-of-five match between Sentinels and G2 Esports. The roster for the first game looked as follows on Split:
- SEN Zellsis (Viper) vs. G2 JAWGEMO (Yoru)
- SEN johnqt (Tejo) vs. G2 trent (Tejo)
- SEN zekken (Yoru) vs. G2 valyn (Astra)
- SEN N4RRATE (Breach) vs. G2 leaf (Viper)
- SEN bang (Omen) vs. G2 JonahP (Breach)
Sentinels took the first game, and the second game started on Pearl with the following roster:
- SEN Zellsis (Vyse) vs. G2 JAWGEMO (Yoru)
- SEN johnqt (Tejo) vs. G2 trent (Sova)
- SEN zekken (Yoru) vs. G2 valyn (Astra)

G2 Esports won the second game, tying the match. The next game took place on Abyss:

Sentinels came back and took their second victory. Game four took place on Fracture, where G2 flipped the script and won yet again:

G2 kept that momentum and took the last game on Haven, winning the 2025 VCT Kickoffs for the Americas:

Next up was VCT Pacific on February 9. The best-of-five match there was between DRX and T1. The first game was on Abyss, and the roster was as follows:

- T1 BuZz (Yoru) vs. DRX BeYN (Sova)
- T1 stax (Breach) vs. DRX MaKo (Astra)
- T1 carpe (Astra) vs. DRX Flashback (Cypher)

DRX won, and the second game started on Fracture:

Despite T1’s victory on the same map in the prior game, DRX won Game Three. The fourth game took the teams to Bind:

- T1 stax (KAY/O) vs. DRX MaKo (Brimstone)

The game was incredibly close, with a 12-12 score. T1 won two rounds back to back, securing the overtime and tying the match score yet again.
The Finals came to a head on Split, where DRX took the victory and won the Pacific VCT Kickoffs:

- T1 BuZz (Raze) vs. DRX BeYN (Breach)
- T1 stax (Skye) vs. DRX MaKo (Omen)
- T1 carpe (Omen) vs. DRX Flashback (Cypher)

EMEA also finished its VCT Kickoffs on February 9. The Finals were between Team Vitality and Team Liquid. The first game in the best-of-five match took place on Split:
- VIT Less (Viper) vs. TL Kamo (Yoru)
- VIT Kicks (Breach) vs. TL kamyk (Astra)
- VIT Sayf (Omen) vs. TL nAts (Viper)
- VIT Derke (Raze) vs. TL paTiTek (Fade)
- VIT trexx (Fade) vs. TL Keiko (Raze)
TL took the first game, and Game Two started on Haven:
- VIT Less (Cypher) vs. TL Kamo (Jett)
- VIT Kicks (Omen) vs. TL kamyk (Tejo)
- VIT Sayf (Iso) vs. TL nAts (Cypher)

Game Two also went to Team Liquid, giving them a two-game lead over Team Vitality. The third game started on Lotus:

Team Vitality took the game, stopping a sweeping win from Team Liquid. The fourth game began on Bind:

Team Vitality also won Game Four, ensuring the fifth match on Fracture:

Team Vitality won the last game, taking three in a row and winning the VCT Kickoffs Finals for EMEA.
And with that, the majority of the VCT Kickoffs concluded. VCT China ended on January 25, where EDward Gaming beat Trace Esports.
