League of Legends 2024 World Championship Semifinals Results Roundup

The League of Legends 2024 World Championship semifinals came and went this past weekend, and the two finals teams are solidified.

The semifinals were a best-of-five set, and the two winners will go on to compete at the finals stage on November 2 in London at the O2 Arena.

On Saturday, October 26, Weibo Gaming went against Bilibili Gaming. Bilibili Gaming took game one:

  • WBG Breathe (Poppy) vs BLG Bin (Jax)
  • WBG Tarzan (Brand) vs BLG Xun (Skarner)
  • WBG Xiaohu (Yone) vs BLG knight (Smolder)
  • WBG Light (Kalista) vs BLG Elk (Varus)
  • WBG Crisp (Renata Glasc) vs BLG ON (Neeko)

Game two also went to Bilibili Gaming:

  • WBG Breathe (Maokai) vs BLG Bin (Jax)
  • WBG Tarzan (Elise) vs BLG Xun (Skarner)
  • WBG Xiaohu (Lucian) vs BLG knight (Syndra)
  • WBG Light (Kalista) vs BLG Elk (Ziggs)
  • WBG Crisp (Renata Glasc) vs BLG ON (Rell)

And, in a 3-0 sweep, Bilibili Gaming won the first semifinals match to progress to Worlds 2024:

  • WBG Breathe (Rumble) vs BLG Bin (Jax)
  • WBG Tarzan (Sejuani) vs BLG Xun (Skarner)
  • WBG Xiaohu (Yone) vs BLG knight (Akali)
  • WBG Light (Ezreal) vs BLG Elk (Kai’Sa)
  • WBG Crisp (Maokai) vs BLG ON (Alistar)

Sunday, October 27 saw T1 go against Gen.G, two teams with a very long history. T1 has dominated previous Worlds and highly competitive teams, but Gen.G has consistently shut the team down all year. 

The first game went to T1:

  • T1 Zeus (Gragas) vs GEN Kiin (Renekton)
  • T1 Oner (Vi) vs GEN Canyon (Skarner)
  • T1 Faker (Yone) vs GEN Chovy (Sylas)
  • T1 Gumayusi (Ashe) vs GEN Peyz (Ziggs)
  • T1 Keria (Renata Glasc) vs GEN Lehends (Leona)

Gen.G put up a good fight during game two, ultimately winning that game:

  • T1 Zeus (Maokai) vs GEN Kiin (Jax)
  • T1 Oner (Kindred) vs GEN Canyon (Skarner)
  • T1 Faker (Sylas) vs GEN Chovy (Ahri)
  • T1 Gumayusi (Caitlin) vs GEN Peyz (Kai’Sa)
  • T1 Keria (Braum) vs GEN Lehends (Rell)

T1 came back and won game three:

  • T1 Zeus (Gragas) vs GEN Kiin (Jax)
  • T1 Oner (Vi) vs GEN Canyon (Nocturne)
  • T1 Faker (Akali) vs GEN Chovy (Ahri)
  • T1 Gumayusi (Ashe) vs GEN Peyz (Ezreal)
  • T1 Keria (Renata Glasc) vs GEN Lehends (Rell)

And, in an intense match, T1 came out on top and secured its place in the League of Legends 2024 World Championship finals:

  • T1 Zeus (Jax) vs GEN Kiin (Poppy)
  • T1 Oner (Skarner) vs GEN Canyon (Nidalee)
  • T1 Faker (Ahri) vs GEN Chovy (Tristana)
  • T1 Gumayusi (Varus) vs GEN Peyz (Ashe)
  • T1 Keria (Pyke) vs GEN Lehends (Maokai)
