Following the tease shared a couple of weeks ago, SCS Software officially revealed another state-focused DLC for its popular American Truck Simulator, Louisiana.
According to a dedicated blog post, the DLC will include iconic cities like New Orleans and Baton Rouge, many miles of long stretching roads, and the Mississippi River Delta.
The state will also include three different main biomes, the lowlands focusing on the coastal marshes and the Mississippi floodplain. The Red River valley is characterized by red soil and raft lakes. The northern part of the state includes mostly rolling hills.
You can check out a trailer below.
SCS Software also released a neat gallery of screenshots.
Cargo types will be influenced by the many available industries, agricultural production, fishing, forestry, petroleum, gas, and coal. The Port of New Orleans will also be a major source of jobs.
American Truck Simulator is available exclusively for PC. It was recently updated to version 1.51 with the addition of quite a few features.
American Truck Simulator also just received the Arkansas DLC alongside the much-awaited Mack Pinnacle truck, while the next state on the menu will be Missouri. Louisiana is likely going to be released after that, creating a neat line of contiguous states from north to south.
It’s the twin game to SCS Software’s Euro Truck Simulator 2, which uses the same engine and follows the same development track but is obviously set in Europe.
A few weeks ago ago the games were in attendance at IAA Transportation 2024 in Hannover, once more showcasing the inevitable ties between simulation and real-world transportation and logistics.
