Today, Square Enix announced that it will be porting Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince to PC, and that it will launch on Steam September 11, 2024 for $39.99. You can check out screenshots for the announcement of this JRPG port at the bottom of the page.
First launched on Nintendo Switch back in December 2023, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince once again transports players into the world of this illustrious series, featuring over 500 monsters to choose from and a revamped synthesis system to explore. The plot follows Psaro, a cursed man who must gather an army of monsters in order to become Master of Monsterkind.
Players will explore Nadiria in all of its glory, featuring different seasonal changes with different weather conditions that bring out various unique monsters to tame. It is important to note that while all of the downloadable content (the Mole Hole, Coach Joe’s Dungeon Gym, and Treasure Trunks) from the Nintendo Switch version is present in the PC port, the network mode Online Battles will not be included.
You will still be able to test your might in Quickfire Contests, though. Participate in automated battles against the party data of 30 other players once a day to earn stat-boosting items as a prize while also adding in monsters you beat to your roster (up to B rank).
