Today, Embark Studios revealed the roadmap for January through April 2026 for its hit extraction multiplayer FPS, Arc Raiders.
Known as the Escalation period, this phase focuses on expanding the game’s PvE challenges and introducing new geographical areas to explore. The first update comes at the end of this month, as the Headwinds update introduces content specifically aimed at veteran players.
A new, exclusive matchmaking option for players level 40 and above is being added to provide a more competitive environment. Map conditions and expedition windows are also getting adjustments, meaning players will need to adjust their tactical approaches accordingly.
Map conditions and Arc threats in general will be a bit focus of the Escalation period, as Shrouded Sky, Flashpoint, and Riven Tides will all introduce new variations of each. You can see a quick rundown of what to expect for each update period, broken down monthly, below:

According to Embark Studios, Arc Raiders Escalation is just the beginning of the first full year of content, with more roadmaps expected in May as the studio aims for long-term evolution of the game, with plans to introduce multiple maps across 2026. The extraction shooter found significant success in 2025, selling over 4 million copies, and being defined as “the most successful global launch in Nexon’s history.”
Arc Raiders is available digitally on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and NVIDIA GeForce NOW, starting at $39.99 USD for the Standard Edition and $59.99 USD for the Deluxe Edition.
