Euro Truck Simulator 2 developer SCS Software released new screenshots and details showing the city of Karlstad in the upcoming Scandinavia refresh.
We hear that the city was built entirely from scratch for the refresh, and its surrounding areas have been reworked to match the quality of current DLCs.
There are plenty of landmarks to visit, including a large train station, cultural venues, and sports venues.
Of course, there are also depots to find work, including fuel stations, farms, logistics centers, and more. There’s even a garage to expand your local operations.
You can check out all the pictures below.

If you’re unfamiliar with Euro Truck Simulator 2, it’s a truck-driving simulator available for PC, but PS5 and Xbox versions have been recently announced. The PC version has recently been updated to version 1.56.
If you’d like to see more of the refresh of the Scandinavian DLC, you can enjoy the city of Aarhus, Motorway 16 in Denmark, and Copenhagen.
It’s designed to complement Nordic Horizons, which will be the next paid DLC. You can already check out its gameplay reveal, on top of the landscapes, landmarks, the city of Oulu, the churches, the lakes of Finland, more roadside landmarks, the town of Andenes, Kiruna, its famous wooden church, fjords and mountains, and the Custom Depots.
The development team is hard at work updating other areas of the map, starting with the Benelux region’s rework, of which we recently saw the port of Rotterdam and the city of Brussels. The UK rework has also been recently announced.
The Iceland DLC was announced a few weeks ago, and you can enjoy additional screenshots, in addition to its churches, and the Ring Road.
Another interesting DLC will bring Coaches into the game, and we recently saw its bus stations and the Scania Touring.
