EA has officially announced that Dragon Age: The Veilguard has a release date of Halloween 2024, October 31. The news came via a release trailer that also showed off some of the gameplay that fans can expect, featuring fan favorites like Varric and Solas. You can check out the full video for it right at the bottom of the page.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is fourth installment in the series, and continues the events of Dragon Age: Inquisition, which released back in 2014. This time around, players take control of a protagonist named Rook, whose race, gender, class, first name and voice can all be customize using various different details.
Combat-wise, the game will play more like the action oriented Dragon Age: Inquisition than it will the earlier RPG-focused installments in the series, like the first game and its DLC The Awakening. Unlike past games in the series, Rook will be the only character that players will be able to control. Instead of being able to swap between party members, they will be fully controlled by AI, though you can still develop and choose their skills as they level up.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is available today for preorder at $59.99 on PC and $69.99 on Xbox and PlayStation. While you wait for its release, be sure to check out all the gaming and simulation content we’ve got to offer. That includes how to get into flight simulation, more great RPG news and an interesting new Life is Strange: Double Exposure brand partnership.
