The Girl from Arkanya is a Zelda-inspired adventure where players will traverse jungles as Marisa, a treasure hunter. She’s trying to build her reputation and carry her family’s legacy, a path that leads her to a magical capybara named Kapi.

Together, the two end up tangled in a journey to protect their home while keeping an eye out for gold.

The game blends puzzles with dungeon crawling, giving players opportunities to use different tools and magic to explore the jungles of Amazonia. There are seven zones in the jungle, including six dungeons and plenty of artifacts to collect.

The game also includes a local co-op feature that can be toggled on and off at any point.

Players can check out the trailer for the release date reveal for The Girl from Arkanya below:

In 2020, the Kickstarter for the game was launched, raising 430% of its $10,000 goal. According to the Kickstarter campaign, there are plans to release The Girl from Arkanya on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in the future.

An update from developer Arkanya Games revealed that a split from the publisher pushed back console release dates. However, the team is still planning on porting the game to consoles.
