The update, which was teased a few days ago, brings quite a few changes and fixes to the behavior of AI aircraft, ships, and ground vehicles.

It also includes new features for the F-16C Viper (the AN/AAQ-33 Advanced Targeting Pod) and the F/A-18C (the Terrain Avoidance Radar Mode), on top of changes to several more aircraft. You can see both features in action in the videos below.

Among the planes and helicopters which received some love are the AH-64D, the CH-47F, the Mi-24P Hind, the Mi-8MTV2, the F-86F, the MiG-21bis, the F4U-1D Corsair, the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior, the JF-17, the Mirage F1, the C-101, the Ka-50 Black Shark, and the Flaming Cliffs F-5E.

The Cold War Germany map also got an update, alongside the Data Transfer Cartridge feature. Several campaigns received some some changes as well.

You can find the full patch notes on the official site.

If you’re unfamiliar with DCS World, it’s a free-to-play flight simulator focusing on military aviation from World War 2 to the present day. It’s available exclusively for PC.

While the sim is free-to-play, it pretty much requires paid modules to be fully enjoyed, including aircraft, campaigns, and maps like this one.

Recently, Eagle Dynamics unveiled its plans for the implementation of the dynamic campaign, while the upcoming Mig-29A Fulcrum was made available for pre-order.

The developer also provided a look at more content coming this year and beyond, including an F-15C Eagle and an F-35 Lightning II.
