In the brand new dev diary, Nacon Racing Content Manager Alev VII spoke with the developers at KT Racing about the future of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown. Alongside some early awaited upcoming new features for Season 4, they also discussed the content plans for Year 2 and beyond.

The Casino is one of the most interesting new additions coming alongside the next season, allowing players to wager virtual currency on activities like slots or poker. Winning big at these will reward you with various exclusive cars, avatars, or cosmetic items to attach to your vehicle.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Season 4 is set to launch on July 23, 2025, and will also introduce:

  • Stock Races – a set of brand-new races in which only factory cars can take part
  • Active Aero – an improvement in spoiler behavior for cars that have one
  • Toggled HUDs – the ability to completely hide HUD layouts
  • Group Ping – add up to four routes to the GPS and invite the group to consult the route plan
  • 5 New Cars – Aston Martin DB11 Volante, DeLorean Alpha5, Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, and Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Virtual Pair WideBody.

The last major update of the year, Season 5, is scheduled to drop in October, marking the return of taxi missions from the original game. Alongside this, the update introduces an online store, new vehicles, a rebalanced in-game economy, and an upgrade to the KT Engine, enhancing both performance and graphics.

The Year 2 roadmap for Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown will focus on numerous community-driven features, including player voting and Official Racing Centers. The first two updates are set for January (Season 6) and April (Season 7) 2026.
