Volanta Mobile v1.3.0 Update Brings New Features, Improvements, and Fixes

Orbx updated the mobile app tied to its flight tracking software Volanta to version 1.3.0, bringing new quality-of-life features and more.

The app, which is exclusive to premium subscribers, will now showcase screenshot galleries on profile pages with the ability to sort them in various ways.

The ability to view one’s teams and their statistics, leaderboards, and chat has also been made available, while you can check out landing events on all flights.

Visuals, performance, and stability have also been improved across the board alongside the usual serving of fixes.

Enhancements,

  • The screenshot gallery on profile pages is now available. You can view all your screenshots in one place and sort them by newest, oldest and most likes.,
  • You can now view your teams, including statistics, leaderboards and chat.,
  • Landing events are now visible for your active and past flights.,
  • Improved the visuals of the 2D and 3D flight paths.,
  • Improved layout and alignment all across the application.,
  • Improved performance and stability.,

Fixes,

  • Fixed distance remaining, ETA and time remaining not being updated correctly.,
  • Fixed some aircraft icon tails being cut off.,
  • Resolved an issue where some aircraft pictures wouldn’t display correctly.,
  • Corrected an issue where the settings wouldn’t saved after changes on some devices.,
  • Fixed the pause button being stuck in a different state than desktop in certain scenarios.,
  • Fixed an issue where the ATC route would not display correctly on the map.,
  • Aircraft centering incorrectly on the map for your own or other users’ flights.,
  • Fixed the aircraft list showing incorrect flight hours.,
  • Fixed the flight path going in a circle above a certain longitude.,
  • Fixed login form animations.,
  • Fixed changelog close button not being tappable due to placement.,
  • Improved tablet device detection and auto rotation.

If you’re unfamiliar with Volanta, it’s a flight-tracking application published by Orbx that is free to download, and comes with a growing set of features on top of the basic ability to track your flights.

You can also opt to pay a premium subscription (which is required to use the mobile app) monthly or yearly to unlock even more advanced features like Scheduled pause and more.

Volanta is platform-agnostic, so it’s compatible with all major flight simulators, including Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane, DCS World, Prepar3D, and more.

It’s currently available for PC, iOS, and Android, on top of a handy web browser version, which you can check out without an account to see who’s flying at any given time.

The desktop version recently received an update of its own, introducing offline tracking and more.
