Boeing 757 for Microsoft Flight Simulator Gets First Trailer

At the moment, we don’t yet know when the aircraft will be released, but it’s still “several months” off.

Nakashibetsu Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator Clears “Last Major Hurdle”

We get a development update from Gate15 Scenery about the upcoming Nemuro Nakashibetsu Airport (RJCN) in Hokkaido, Japan.

Apparently, the airport has cleared the last “major hurdle” before release, as you can read below.

“I’ve finally completed the placement of the solar panels, which was the last major hurdle. At first, I created and placed the models in groups, but it had a significant impact on the frame rate.

So I created models consisting of 1, 3, 5, 10, and 20 panels, and placed them all manually. This approach significantly reduced the impact on performance, allowing for a much smoother flight experience.

It appears that around 107,000 actual solar panels are installed in the area. In this project, I placed more panels than I could possibly count in order to faithfully recreate the real landscape.”

Free Airbus A380 for Microsoft Flight Simulator Getting Clean Flight Deck Textures Option

During a panel at FlightSimExpo, FlyByWire announced that its popular freeware Airbus A380 for MSFS is getting an option for a clean flight deck.

It was mentioned that there shouldn’t be a relevant gain in performance, but it’s a great option for those who enjoy their cockpits free from too much grime and weathering.

If you’d like to read more flight simulation news, you can find plenty in our previous roundup article from yesterday.

If you want to go further back, we have a handy overview video of the major flight simulation news in the past week. You can watch it below. As usual, leaving a like and a comment and subscribing to our growing YouTube channel is extremely helpful.
