The first 1.1 banner character for Zenless Zone Zero, Qingyi, now has a combat trailer, showing off her abilities and fast-paced combat skills.
Qingyi is a part of the New Eridu Public Security, or PubSec, putting her at natural odds with Belle and Wise. Despite this, the protagonist duo helped her after she, along with Zhu Yuan, saved Belle’s life. While she was featured briefly in Chapter 2’s Prologue, the 1.1 update for ZZZ will feature her much more heavily.Â
The combat trailer revealed that Qingyi is an Electric character with massive area-of-effect potential. Her abilities look like she’ll be a main attacking unit, but she could potentially be a good support unit.
Qingyi fights with a staff and does Shock damage intermittently with her basic attack combo. Her abilities include slamming the ground repeatedly in a circle, shocking enemies while dealing damage. She can also shove enemies back with Shock damage to better control the battlefield. Her ultimate ability has her zooming between enemies, attacking several times before hitting the ground in another large-scale AoE Shock move.
Electric characters in ZZZ are already pretty stacked – Anby and Rina are great supports, and Grace’s position as an Anomaly makes her great for any team. Qingyi rounds this out well, giving the attribute what looks to be a high-damage dealer. She’ll also excel at dealing with hordes of enemies, which is common in ZZZ.
Qingyi will be released with ZZZ’s 1.1 update, which is scheduled for August 14, 2024. For more information on the future of Zenless Zone Zero, check out its roadmap for future improvements.Â
