Western Sydney Airport for MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020 Gets New Screenshots

Drzewiecki Design released more work-in-progress screenshots of Western Sydney International Airport (YSWS) in Australia for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and MSFS 2020.

As usual, the developer provided a brief development update.

“This week at WSI, we’ve been polishing the details across the board. Work continued on the terminal, while the surrounding terrain – based on high-res drone scans – was carefully painted, blended, and adjusted. The sand areas have been converted to grass, and we’ve fine-tuned parking layout, fencing, lighting, and service vehicle placement.

We also completed the animated metro trains, added more street-level details in front of the terminal, and began placing license plates on cars for extra immersion.”

Incidentally, the last two screenshots above showcase the cargo ramps at Newark Liberty International Airport (KEWR) for X-Plane 12, which is being developed in parallel with Sydney.

We also get a brief development update.

“Not a lot of time to get things done , but all Terminal A Jetways are finished with LODs and PBR textures. Also made the second jetway model, which is used on all other gates and Gate A1.”

F35 for X-Plane Gets New Screenshots

AOA Simulations has revealed more screenshots of its F-35B Lightning II for X-Plane 12.

We also get a brief development update:

“The jet is really coming to life. Tons of little details have been polished: from the timed gear animations to the exhaust nozzle petals opening. And the avionics? We are progressing fast! The PCD is almost fully functional, with barely any blank pages left.

Next up: polishing the cockpit animations to make it feel just right.”
