Developer S3 Studio and publisher Thermite Games have revealed the roadmap for the gorgeous Chinese city management sim, House of Legacy. They’ve also given fans a look at what next week’s update goals look like, targeting specific areas in the game before moving on to main content updates.
To start with, next week’s House of Legacy updates will be focused on patching out bugs and improving the user experience of content already in the game, according to Steam. There’s a feedback survey that over 1,800 players have responded to, which is leading what developers are tackling first.
It will take longer than one week to fix all the bugs players have encountered. However, after next week, the team will be working on new content alongside the bugs.
That new content was revealed in the House of Legacy roadmap. There’s an order and focus name for each planned update so far, though there are no dates, and there’s the potential for more features depending on player feedback. Here are the current planned updates:
- Reshaping the Great Houses:
- Rivalry and Cooperation between Noble Houses
- Expands Event System
- More Complex Politics
- Adds new features for: royal relatives, place intrigue, vassal princes, imperial kinship system
- New Music
- Echoes in History:
- National Events
- Storylines for Noble Houses, Political Career, and Royal Family that include player choices
- Tribute of Nations
- New Map Areas
- Large Wars between Foreign Kingdoms
- More Diplomacy, Alliances, and Betrayals

While that’s all that’s planned out so far, there’s still more that developers want to add. This includes editor tools and a custom Noble House start. Plus, there’s more content that hasn’t been shared quite yet.
House of Legacy was released in early access on May 14, 2025, on PC. There have already been several updates in the first week that targeted high-priority bugs.
