Today, Orbx released a new gallery of screenshots of the upcoming Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (KATL) coming for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and MSFS 2020.

While the screenshots are still a work in progress, they’re certainly impressive, and it’s challenging to believe that this is the work of a solo developer, Matteo Veneziani of Olbia Costa Smeralda, Skiathos, Hollywood Burbank, and Gold Coast fame.

The level of detail is superb, and while we don’t yet know when the airport will be released, the developer mentions that work is progressing and more information will come in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, you can check out the screenshots below.

This certainly has the potential to fix a long-standing problem in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, which is the lack of a good and up-to-date payware version of the world’s busiest airport. Considering the importance of Delta’s iconic hub, that’s great.

If you’d like to learn more, you can check out our interview with Veneziani himself, talking about the work done on this airport. You can also enjoy the first gallery of screenshots shared with the reveal a few months ago.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is available for PC and Xbox Series X|S.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is also available for the same platforms following its recent release in November. If you want to see the massive visual difference against MSFS 2020, you can enjoy our video and screenshot comparison.

A few weeks ago, we published an extensive interview with Head of Microsoft Flight Simulator Jorg Neumann about the present situation of the sim and the plans for the future.

You can also check out our in-depth analysis of how much data the simulator downloads from the cloud, clearing the air from some widespread misinformation that has made the rounds over the past few months.
